SAHARA UNIVERSAL POVERTY ERADICATION
OUR PURPOSE

Our Humanitarian projects established to reach the less fortunate in its Charitable and Philanthropic efforts. The vast majority of the people are poor and impoverished and in desperate need of support systems in the almost every one of the world.
In this time, and in this generation, we must put an end to poverty forever (Eradication).

MAKE POVERTY HISTORY

THAI "NUM CHAI" HUMANITATARIAN PROJECT

Thailand is a Southeast Asian nation with a population of 60.6 million people. In these difficult economic times, helping those in need, especially the children is even more important.

The Thai "Nam Chai" (translates as "Kind Heart") Humanitarian Project was established to reach the less fortune in its charitable and philanthropic efforts. The vast majority of the Thai people are poor and impoverished and in desperate need of support systems in almost every one of the 76 Thai provinces.

The business communities and charitable organizations, despite downturns in the economic situation continue to give generously including activities and financial donation, for some of the following: tree planting programs; preservation of the Thai wildlife; upcountry schools e.g. in provinces such as: Prachin Buri, Samut Sakorn and Autthaya; HM the Majesty's Golden Jubilee Forest Plantation Program; YMCA foundation for Northern Development; Heart valve Fund; Southern Flood Victims; the kidney foundation of Thailand; scholarship to the International Support Group for the Department of Public Welfare for needy Thai school students; HRH princess Maha Chakri  Sirindhorn's Fund for the Development of children and youth in Remote Areas of Thailand; Duang Prateep foundation for Slum children; Drug Prevention Programs.

However, as part of "Num Chai's" commitment we have made one of our aim and policy to donate a part of the percentage income received from investment trade program for direct activities in improving the lives children through education and provision of support systems. Our motto "Education Is the Seed Planted in Children and their Key to Long Term Success".

Our donation will give needy Thai children the opportunity for a good education, or assist with a variety of publicity or education projects. The Thai Government provides free education for children up to the age of 14 years old but opportunities for children who wish to continue their education is almost impossible due to financial constraints.

We also work with governmental and other non – governmental organizations to improve the living standards of disadvantaged members of society. "Num Chai" aims is to carry out a wide range of projects, besides education, that are designed to promote self – sufficiency within communities in the various provinces of Thailand.

Despite Thailand's high levels of economic growth in recent years and the social changes this has brought about, a large number of people in this country are living with the daily realities of malnutrition, poor sanitation and hygiene, and limited access to education, or further education.

As a result of these conditions, they do not have a fair chance at self – improvement and find themselves excluded from mainstream economic life.

At present, our project aims to sponsor 500,000 Thai children throughout the country through community. Such projects attempt to promote the self- sufficiency of communities and take on a variety of forms:
* Non Productive Assistance: This includes the provision of basic necessities such as health clinics, clean water sources and schooling.
* Productive Assistance: This provides funds that will help to stimulate economic life in rural areas.

The "Num Chai" Humanitarian Project is a private, family, non-profit organization. We finance all our own projects and also contribute our personal funds to the Charities under the patronage of The Thai Royal Family.

In our projects, we rely on the goodwill of around 10,000 volunteers throughout the country in most of the 76 provinces. Most of the volunteers working on the projects are community leaders and village representatives. Their knowledge of the locality and its inhabitants ensures the smooth running of our projects.
